Where there are more sheep than people?

New Zealand is a sparsely populated country. Geographically it is similar in size to Great Britain, but its population is only 4.47 million (compared to Great Britain’s 64 million). And besides, there are far more sheep than people: for every New Zealander there are about 6 sheep, one of the highest rates in the world.

There is a very unusual city in New Zealand

New Zealand consists of two main islands, as well as a number of smaller ones. The largest section of New Zealand’s landmass is South Island, which is divided lengthwise by the Southern Alps. This mountain range has 18 peaks over three thousand meters above sea level, and the highest of them is Mount Cook, or Aoraki (3754 meters).
